Beyond the Floodlines

Film Stills & Drawings

Beyond the Floodlines is a project and film which explores the constructed narrative of a ceramicist Alistair Daimler and his family’s home/ and ceramics studio, situated in the Floodlands, Norfolk, UK circa 2088. It takes place after the death of his wife and primary architect to the home, Yves Aubert. Alistair takes on the task of completing the house and ceramics studio, and in the process the building becomes a physical homage to their relationship and a symbiosis of two vastly different languages.
